Low Vision Telescopic Glasses

Dr. Kinkade and Patient with
Bioptic Telescopic Low Vision Glasses
Many people have problems seeing to do the things they once enjoyed have been told by their eye doctor that a change in your eyeglass prescription will not help you see any better. This is probably not true. Properly designed prescription telescopic eyeglasses can improve vision. The vision may not be perfect, but it is definitely better.

It is very challenging for the best of doctors to keep up with all the advancements in the eye care field in their very busy practices. It is unrealistic for you to expect them to be fully knowledgeable in all aspects of vision care. I have studied and been training in advanced optics and magnification principles that most eye doctors have had very exposure to.

Telescopic eyeglasses are different than regular glasses. They have many sight enhancing advantages. They make things more vivid with high definition optics. Objects are clearer, larger and brighter. They use multiple lenses to give the magnification. These special glasses may regain your ability to read better, watch television, drive and see faces more clearly. Specially designed tinted lenses with prism allow patients to see road signs and even the golf ball better.

Everyone’s eyes and vision needs are different. I have helped hundreds of patients see better when their doctors tell them “nothing more can be done”. If you are willing to learn new ways of seeing my technologically advanced optics glasses and training can help.

Telescopic glasses use lens systems mounted in the lenses of prescription glasses. They come in full-diameter, miniature and bioptic designs. The power can range from 2-6 times magnification. They are helpful in many tasks such as reading, watching plays and television, driving and crafts. The eyeglasses can be fit monocularly or binocularly.

  1. I have always been a fan of Tina Fey. She's so talented, and she's an incredible actress. She's a nerd in real life, yet she rocks for being a nerd chick. You see? Nerds are beautiful.
